We are looking for a talented Technical Support Engineer to be part of our team 

The role 

You will work within our small, fast paced IT team based to 

  • Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support on all platforms (phone, email, remote session and in person) to all BaileyNelson stores.

  • Install, test, support and maintain company ICT hardware, software and system.

  • Support and administer the technical environment of

  • Windows Desktops & Servers, 

  • ChromeOS and macOS, 

  • G-Suite, 

  • OpenVPN,  

  • Office 365

Troubleshoot and support network (Unifi AP and EdgeRouter).

Create and maintain user guides, KBs and FAQs.

Set up and maintain users on the network with the appropriate user and file security.

Communicate the status of issues with end-users at all levels in the organisation.

Escalate issues to other IT team members which have a high level of technical complexity and/or high impact on the normal operation if required.

Liaise with external parties and work on new IT projects if required.

Who you are 

A geeky passion for IT with no problem too big or too small for you to solve… 

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a relevant role  (an MSP background is highly desirable).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and solution focused - prepared to go the extra mile to solve a problem 

  • Excellent communication skills to be able to work closely with store teams in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Genuine desire to learn and a passion for all new technologies.

  • Ability to work and perform under pressure in time-critical scenarios.

  • Available to work in an on-call rotation for out-of-hours support.

  • Wears glasses (preferred) - including sunnies :)
